All around the country you can find the most beautiful castle gardens with their flowers now in bloom just as well as natural fields of heather and other plants and flowers changing the landscape. Kylemore Abbey Gardens

Set in the Connemara valley, Kylemore Abbey is a stunning sight at any time of the year. It’s gardens however get even more beautiful when the first warm and sunny days in spring work their magic. The walled gardens, one of the last ones built during the Victorian period, have been compared to the famous Kew Gardens in London. Altamont Gardens in County Carlow

For a romantic spring walk, Altamont Gardens is a hidden gem. The garden features a mix of formal and informal gardens, winding paths, a lake and ancient oak trees. In spring, some of the floral highlights are the blooming snowdrops, daffodils and azaleas.

Blarney Castle and Gardens

Blarney Castle is one of the most famous castles you can visit in Ireland. Actually, the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin are a beautiful sight in every season, but even more so, when everything comes to life in March, April and May. Spring brings a riot of collie across the gardens, while the Victorian glasshouses showcase exotic orchids and tropical plants in bloom. With free entry and easy access from the city centre, it’s the perfect springtime retreat for visitors to Dublin.

Glenveagh Castle Gardens in Donegal

Another castle surrounded by beautiful gardens is set in the remote Glenveagh National Park. Rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas, and wisteria decorate the Italian Terrace and Tuscan Garden, while the Walled Garden features flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and herbs. And the castle has one more highlight: the unforgettable view over  Lough Beagh.
